About

A creative at heart I am happiest when lost in my own thoughts drawing, painting or making. I am inspired by nature, music and the beauty I observe in my surroundings.

Painting and drawing is a big part of my practise and I am currently exploring charcoal and its expressive nature. I am drawn to messy and expressive, simple and organic, neutrals and natural and sometimes a splash of colour. I love line and texture and am a believer in imperfect perfection!

Born in Sydney to European parents I feel connected to both Australia and Europe. I have loved to paint and draw for as long as I can remember. My Opa bought me my first easel and I can remember him teaching me to paint when I was young. After high school I completed and Bachelor of Fine Arts at COFA, now UNSW Art and Design, majoring in painting and life drawing. I then put my creativity into product development. However the dream of properly pursuing my professional practise and having my own studio continued to beckon.

A move to the country led to realising this dream. I found myself in the idyllic country town of Mudgee with my husband, our two boys, two cats my trusty studio assistants and now a puppy assistant in training. Mudgee is home to much creativity whether its art, ceramics, food or wine, it never ceases to amaze and inspire me. Here I have found like minded people and opportunities. I teach art to the little locals and also happily host private classes and workshops for anyone interested.
